Issue #50: "Strike upwards, if you strike at the stars."

Increasing tension between 51st Factions
In the past few weeks there has been an unprecedented increase in violence and rhetoric between the Cool Union of Classy Kingsmen (self styled as the CUCKs), and the self proclaimed Fusilier Council. More recently the Grenadier Company has become embroiled in the conflict. In the past few days, an incident occurred where Grenadier Company members marched on the Classy Union's fort, aptly named "CUCK Hold", while the CUCKs were holding an internal ceremony. What unfolded next resulted in the death and injury of many 51st members on both sides of the divide.

However, an exclusive eyewitness who has asked to remain anonymous, has told the Minden News:
"There was a tense moment, followed by a shot. The CUCKs shot first lmao ... After that, the Grenadiers slaughtered everyone in the hold including yours truly."

I confronted Acting Lord Chancellor of the CUCKs Maverick about this allegation and responded with:
"In my eyes William at the time acted without orders. They walked into the fort and made their aggressions. I believe, with or without action from the CUCKS, it would have resulted in a massacre. Their "Order 51" shows its was planned from the start."

A full video recording of how the events unfolded can be seen at the link below.

As a strictly unbiased regimental publication, we cannot comment on the developing situation with the parties involved. We condemn the recent violent unrest within the regiment.

Holdfast Artillery League Champions!
Huge congratulations are in order for our Artillery Company!

Recently our Artillery Company successfully defended their title as champions in the latest iteration of the Holdfast Artillery League. The competition was hard fought and culminated with our lads facing off in the final against the 63e. However, our Artillerymen and Sappers evidently brought their A-game because the outcome was a resounding clean sweep, with a final score of 3-0. This performance was reflected in the rest of the tournament too. The artillery lads performed exceptionally well from start to finish, winning most of their matches with no rounds lost!

You can see the full results by having a look at the Challonge scoresheet here.

Cavalry Applications - OPEN!
Do you like cool uniforms, horses, and sabres? Maybe even all of the above? Do you also hold the rank of Regular or higher?
Well, put on your spurs and count yourself lucky because as announced on Saturday, applications for Cavalry Company are open once again! As our newest company, Cavalry has been working hard to become a more cohesive unit, this is no easy task for a new group but they've done an amazing job so far and have proved their worth on many occasions during tournaments and events.

If you would like to be part of Cavalry Company you can check out the #cavalry-applications channel on Discord!

XMG EU 3v3 Tournament Results
The congratulations train doesn't stop here, three 51st members formed a team for the recent XMG EU 3v3 Tournament.
The team in question, named Choke Company, was made up of members Acez, RickDickBang, and Dr. Gendalf. They sailed smoothly to victory and have been crowned overall winners. As readers will know, competitive melee can be tough but the three members involved are big names in the melee community. Huge well done on their win!

The full bracket can be seen on Challonge here.

Recent NCO Promotions
Since the last edition of Minden News, readers may have noticed some new NCOs hanging around in events and on TeamSpeak.
Notably, our newest batch of Lance Corporals have passed the Trial NCO stage and have been accepted into the ranks as fully fledged NCOs. Behind the scenes, these NCOs work hard to keep the regiment ticking over and are tasked with completing many of the administration tasks that are required for things to run smoothly. Keep up the good work!

Below is a list of all the recent NCO promotions - congratulations to you all, promotions well deserved!

Grenadier Uniform / Competitive Melee
A little bird told me that a new 51st Grenadier uniform is in the pipeline. VectorScope and the team have put out some fantastic uniforms in the past for the 51st so I'm sure readers are as excited as me for the upcoming release. So, keep your eyes peeled and your ear to the ground for any updates!

Word on the street is that after previous competitive melee match performances, Grenadier Company's competitive team is undergoing some big changes. As I've previously mentioned, the competitive melee scene can be a difficult ride but we have some talented members within the regiment. We wish the boys all the best and I believe they will succeed! "No shitters!"

Issue #49: "New 51st Trailer Stunning the YouTube and Holdfast Community"

51st Regiment Trailer Out!

Our digital media expert Sergeant VectorScope prepared a brand new propaganda trailer for the regiment with many of our members getting roles. VectorScope was inspired to prepare a video with a storyboard concept, planning, and preparing scenes from all companies and events.

Here is a link the amazing video. The video had already gotten 1.7K hits. Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe!

As is known VectorScope previously improved the artworks of the regiment and designed the regiment's incredibly detailed uniforms, along with the new Cross of Valor and Distinguished Service medal designs. We avail this opportunity to thank Sergeant VectorScope for his digital content contribution to the 51st Regiment.

Changing Times Changing Schedule

I) Wednesday and Thursday Training/Event Swap
Most experienced members know that as surely as time flies, the event schedule changes. The next two news items are about the change in the event schedule.

Unfortunately one of the other bigger regiments decided to quit the Thursday's linebattle which left the hosts 3. Dywizja and 8. BDE in a position of not being able to balance our presence in their event. Therefore, the Thursday Linebattle is now replaced by a Thursday Training at 20:00 CET.

Instead, 51st Regiment is now attending a Wednesday Linebattle hosted by the 5th Prussian Foot Guards. The event schedule channel has been updated to reflect this change.

II) New Light Infantry-Only Event On the Schedule
The 51st has been joining the light infantry-only event hosted by 3. Dywizja for some weeks now at 20:00 CET. It was an invitational event for the first few weeks, then opened up to members with the rank of private and above, and is now open to every enlisted member of our regiment.

From March 14 onwards, it is an official event and part of the schedule. It will not count for attendance. You can try joining it if you are interested in joining the Light company or wondering what it would be like playing as a light infantry. We have won 4-0 three weeks in a row and we only lost one event out of the five times we have joined. So be there to contribute to the winning ways of the 51st.

The event is on Saturdays at 20:00 CET. Contact Corporal Omer Haybo about the details about this event. Check out the updated event schedule on Discord.

51st Wins A Friendly 1v1 Linebattle Against GDE

We faced the French Regiment GDE in a one-versus-one linebattle on February 17th. It was a special event with all special companies getting to play. Both regiments have negotiated to agree on a specific ruleset including the map rotations. 51st Regiment managed to win all the rounds.

The 51st is open to having one-versus-one linebattles in the future. We take this opportunity to thank GDE for co-organizing such a nice event.

The Renewed Grenadier Company

As you all know, we are very proud of our Grenadier Company. They came third in the last regimental groupfighting league and have won many tournaments, including the previous RGL.

Following the 3rd Internal 1v1 Tournament. The new Grenadier Company now consists of the following members:

Colour Sergeant Tachang, Lance Corporal Acez, Lance Corporal James Stukov, and Grenadiers CableFre, Dr.Gendalf, Gimli, Phelix, and RickDickBang. It is rumored that Regular Turtles, who was also invited to the Grenadier Company, instead chose to join Artillery Company.

Melee Sweats Back in Action: 51st won 15-12 Against QRR Moscow

Following the renewal of the Grenadier Company, on 27th February the 51st faced the QRR Moscow Grenadiers in a group fight. The Moscows were formerly a separate regiment and are now a company of the QRR. The 51st defeated the Russian melee sweats 15-12, with not only the melee powerhouses like James Stukov and Acez, but with the contributions of new faces like Dr.Gendalf, as well as Turtles during his short tenure in the Grenadiers.

Our proud grenadiers will fight against the AltPr11 on March 20.

Tachang and Stukov Honored

The two winners of 51st internal melee tournaments, both widely renowned not only as the best melee players of 51st Regiment but among the best in the entire Holdfast community, Lance Corporal James_Stukov and then-Sergeant Tachang were awarded Crosses of Valor for their heroic effort in the final round of the linebattle on February 28th, 2021.

The chief of the Grenadier Company Tachang and ex-retired melee sweat Stukov faced more then twenty men on their own. Despite the odds, they blocked first, and stabbed later. The whole regiment held their breath to finally exhale it after Tachang and Stukov slaying all their opponents. Thanks to them, we emerged victorious.

They were both awarded Cross of Valor. It was the final Cross of Valor Stukov missed but apparently Tachang's award cabinet was already full of medals. Our reporters approached James Stukov who was riding a horse towards the Tarkov City after the battle was over, who told us he was actually looking forward to getting the last Cross of Valor for a long time. Meanwhile, the recently promoted Colour Sergeant Tachang has been visiting the town centre regularly, looking for a new and larger award cupboard. The rumor is that he is upset from not being able to place his new medal somewhere at his home.

March Madness: Tournaments Section

51st members have been joining lots of competitive Holdfast tournaments. Here is the coverage of them.

Holdfast Artillery League Season 1
Our Artillery Company has won all the group stage matches in the first season of Holdfast Artillery League. We were placed in D Group, and won 3-1 against the GDE, 4-0 against the 26th, and 3-1 against the 93rd.

Artillery Company had previously already won the 1st Napoleonic Artillery League. The senior officer of the company Lieutenant Fortune did not comment much on the group stage matches and stated they are looking for the knockout stage of the tournament. Our boom-boomers will face TRR in the quarter finals.

As is known, the experieced lieutenant played a crucial role in the NAL victory against KRA in the finals. He is joined by another star, VectorScope. However, the team has new great enlisted cannoneers now: Epic_GlowzZ, Son, Too SexyForCS, DeathFromAbove, Turtles who deserted the Grenadier Company, and Z0mbrii, making the artillery squad stronger and deeper than ever.

We wish best of luck to our artillery company and the tournament can be followed from the following link: https://challonge.com/tr/HFArtyS1

51st Cavalry Company Runner-Up in 1st WA Major League!
The youngest company of 51st, Cavalry Company, added a new palmares to their tournament successes by ending the 1stWA Major League cavalry tournament as runner-up, losing only against the hosts 1st WA but defeating every other team in the process.

The tournament was hosted honoring the fifth anniversary of the Russian regiment 1WA. The tournament featured a double elimination format, and the second place match against 5th Prussian Foot Guards was stressful since one of the rounds had to replayed due to in-game bugs.

Congratulations to all cavalry company members. Check out the detailed results here.

HMS Alpha Club Advanced to the KO Stage in Naval Tournament
A naval tournament is being hosted by 1stWA and 23rd. There were three leagues and the 51st joined two of them, namely the 2-gunner league with 4-8 members on each team, and 13-gunner league with 8-18 members on each team. One of our teams, 51st | HMS Alpha Chub, has advanced from group stage. Said team features Fortune, Hunter, HubblyBubbly, Ecko, Gimli, and William. We wish best of them to them in the remaining rounds.

Rocket League Tournament
We do not only play Holdfast tournaments or Holdfast only in general. More games mean more time spent with the community. As is well known, there are lots of Rocket League aficionados in our regiment. The last tournament with a two-versus-two format was held on February 19. The team "About Face" (Colibri and Naimu) won that tournament. Runner-ups were "Garavalli" (VectorScope and DmO), while third place went to Omega and chazza. There were reports that Omega complained about the Rocket League config.

New Recruiters Emerging!

One of the most mentally exhausting but at the same time the most rewarding things to do for the regiment is recruiting on public servers while polishing your skills or chasing challenges. Recruiting is keeping the clan going since 2004.

Recruiting will help keep the regiment alive and allow us to have more men in the linebattle. This also means the chance to play with the specialized companies will increase. Therefore, if you are a member of special company but feeling that you cannot get enough of it, you can start recruiting. Check how to do it on the #recruitment-guide on Discord prepared by our trial NCOs.

A special mention goes to several of our members who has reached milestones in their recruitment work.
Kingsman Birch - 15 members
Kingsman dk.fr1908 - 10 members
Fusilier Orange Juice - 10 members
Regular Colibri - 5 members
Fusilier Ryofar - 5 members

All recruiters, remember Sergeant HubblyBubbly who brought in almost 250 people to the 51st!
