Issue #32: Fresh Blood!
NCO Applications
NCO Applications are once again open! It is time to take in some victims volunteers and remould them into battle hardened Non-Commisioned Officers!
The deadline for applications is Friday the 23rd of August.

Attendance System
As many of you are aware, the attendance system has had an overhaul. The system is now much easier to administrate, therefore leading to more accurate tracking. Furthermore you will now receive attendance points for any training or event that is announced in the Steam chat!
Application System
Last but most certainly not least we have totally reworked the application system. When you are recruiting, all you now have to do is provide a single link to the potential recruit.
This link directs you to a single page in which the new applicant can create an account and post an application all at once. No more thirteen steps of doom! So get out there and get recruiting!
Monday — Naval Battle — 20:00 CEST / 2:00 PM EDT
Tuesday — Training — 20:00 CEST / 2:00 PM EDT
Friday — Linebattle — 20:00 CEST / 2:00 PM EDT
Saturday — Game Night — ~20:00 CEST / ~2:00 PM EDT
Sunday — Linebattle — 20:00 CEST / 2:00 PM EDT

Issue #30: Back In Business.
Welcome Back! The holiday season has come to an end and it's time for everything to go back to normal, and that includes the 51st. We hope you all had a wonderful time over the past few weeks.
Our first event back will be the Friday Linebattle at 20.00 CET on the 4th of January 2019, so we hope to see everyone there!
2019 Event Schedule (Update) With the new year we'd thought we'd bring in a new event! The 'Saturday Pub Stomp' will be starting from the 5th of January 2019. This is an opportunity so show new players and the wider community what we're made of outside of linebattling. So fix bayonets and be prepare to charge the public server!

Friday: Linebattle @ 20:00 CET / 2:00 PM EDT

Feeling Social? It's always good to get to know the man standing beside you in battle.
However, a hectic battle under PTS may not be the best place to do so! Well then it's a good job that we're an active gaming community too. Feel free to hop on TeamSpeak at any time and chill out with your fellow members, get to know them and play some games!

Issue #29: Jingle My Cannon Balls!
Artillery Update - Movable Artillery After a long time off we open this instalment of the Minden News with the latest on the game! The crack team over at AGS have been working hard to push out the long anticipated update to artillery. This includes movable cannons, a cannoneer class, ammo boxes and much more! Festive Schedule It's that time of year again! And as per tradition we will be going into a 'Christmas break' from the 23rd of December until the 4th of January. The last event will be the Sunday linebattle on the 23rd and the first event back with be the Friday linebattle on 4th. However, this doesn't mean there wont be plenty going on over the festive period! Plenty of us will be hanging around the TeamSpeak playing various games (including Holdfast) so feel free to join in or start-up your own game sessions at any time!
To round off this issue of the Minden News, we'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and hope to see you all in 2019!

Good Minden news! On a note, the destructible doors with melee weapons won't be in the first BETA we upload but we'll be working on that relatively soon after the first BETA version is up.

If I recall, 3 RIFLES and 5 RIFLES (Mechanised and Armoured, respectively) are the two modern-day battalions in the British Army that succeed the 51st Regiment of Foot, and so carry their titles and awards.
If anyone cares to know
